Fabulous medal - It's a silver piece with the Caen coat of arms on the front and "Offered by the City of Caen" on the reverse. I wasn't sure what it was made of until I looked really closely at the edge. There are some marks I can't read but I can make out Argent which I believe translates as silver. Another medal online seems to corroborate this. Weight is 31.6g.
